The landscape of sustainability reporting in Malaysia is undergoing a rapid transformation, driven by the adoption of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) S1 and S2 under the National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF). In alignment with Bursa Malaysia’s latest disclosure requirements, organisations are now expected to transition from traditional ESG reporting to a more investor-focused, globally recognised framework.
This shift underscores the critical importance for ESG practitioners to not only understand but also have the competency to operationalise these standards effectively, ensuring compliance and enhancing transparency in sustainability disclosures.
This 3-day intensive workshop sets the stage to navigate this evolving regulatory environment with confidence and expertiseas we equip ESG practitioners with the knowledge and practical skills to implement IFRS S1 & S2 disclosures under Malaysia’s National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF). Participants will explore the global shift to ISSB standards, dive deeply into the content and requirements of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2, and learn how these impact Malaysia’s NSRF adoption.
The workshop goes beyond theory, providing practical tools: gap analysis templates, disclosure mapping, an introduction to scenario planning, and organisational considerations such as assurance and integrated thinking. A dedicated module compares traditional ESG reporting (GRI, SDGs, stakeholder-driven frameworks) with the investor-focused IFRS approach, enabling participants to understand complementarities and differences. By the end, participants will leave with a clear roadmap for implementation, data readiness, and change management within their organisations.
